Our employment program is divided into three categories: Independent Employment (IE), Supported Employment (SE), and Transitional Employment (TE).
Independent Employment: When a member obtains employment on their own, we track their employment in order to provide statistics.
Supported Employment: An SE position is when we have a relationship with an employer and use that connection to help a member secure employment. This relationship varies on a case-by-case basis.
Transitional Employment: A TE is a part-time entry-level job within the community. Our staff train in the position, and then a member who is seeking employment is selected to fill the position for 6-9 months. During this time, our staff provide coverage for all member absences in case of hospitalization, illness, etc. Our staff train members in the position personally, and after the term is over another member is selected to fill the position.
